Flood-and-scrape gummy molds: a flat scrape plane first
Flood-and-scrape is a fill method, not a mascot catalog. Send photos, a sketch, or CAD. We lock a resin master, then pour the RTV tray. DFM is free. Production MOQ is 20 pieces per design. You flood the sheet, scrape the top plane, and every cavity is supposed to hold the same grams. If the scrape plane dishes, outer-row 4 g pieces run 3-6% light or heavy and the scraper chews the rim. Don't buy a floppy 10A tray and hope the operator "scrapes carefully." RUUIPON pours platinum RTV flood-and-scrape trays in Bao'an since 2018: resin master to RTV casting mold. We size cavities from target grams and formula density, then keep the rim height and board stiffness in the same DFM. Prototype in 3-7 business days after CAD lock. MOQ 20 pcs/design. 21 CFR 177.2600 is extraction of the article, not an FDA-approved factory. Depositor pitch is a different page: depositor-compatible gummy molds. Hub: gummy molds.

Scrape plane, rim, and board
Send target grams, pectin vs gelatin, scraper width and direction, cavity count, tray envelope, and whether a rigid board already exists. How flat must the top scrape plane remain under a loaded pass? Rim height above cavity openings has to survive the scraper without rolling. A board or frame under the silicone is usual; raising Shore A first to "make it stiff" still creeps.
Loaded-tray edge sag without a jacket is about 0.5-1.5 mm. That's a scrape that takes more from the center than the edge. Weigh every pocket after a real flood-and-scrape, not a water fill only.
Pectin vs gelatin on the same scrape
Pectin is stickier; it grabs micro-lettering and stretches on peel. Gelatin can distort if you demold early. Don't copy one Shore and rim onto both. Logo islands need draft so the scraper doesn't tear letters - logo molds.
When this flood-and-scrape advice does not apply
A depositor line needs pitch from the machine drawing, not a scrape rim. Steel high-volume tools → an HTV product RFQ here. A one-cavity artisan dump can skip a production board. Geometry can override quantity: a deep mascot still needs peel path at 80 dumps.
If you only have photos, custom 3D modeling is USD $50 when that scope applies.
Flood-and-scrape RFQ to copy
- Process: platinum RTV food-contact tray
- Target grams (e.g. 4.0 g); pectin vs gelatin
- Scraper width/direction; rim height
- Rigid board/frame: yes/no, size
- Cavity count; tray envelope
- Market; 177.2600 / LFGB
- Custom 3D modeling: USD $50 when that scope applies
- Prototype flood-scrape + weigh, then MOQ 20 pcs/design

Matched CTA: Send scrape direction, board size, and target grams for a rim-and-board review - not a generic free quote.
Skip scraping a floppy 10A sheet and calling it process
Skip raising Shore A first to hide a missing board. Qualifying only the center cavity misses the scrape. Do not freeze depositor pitch onto a scrape tray. 177.2600 is not a factory approval.
RUUIPON Mold Structure Decision: flat scrape plane on a rigid board. Open-back cavities if draft peels. Sticky pectin undercut? fillet or split - extra cavities don't unlock an ear. Soft skin? mother mold before you lengthen the scraper path.
- Board keeps scrape plane flat? - no -> Rigid board / nest first
- Board keeps scrape plane flat? - yes -> Rim survives scraper?
- Rim survives scraper? - no -> Rim height / Shore / border
- Rim survives scraper? - yes -> Weigh every pocket after real scrape
- Weigh every pocket after real scrape -> Outer-row 3-6% off?
- Outer-row 3-6% off? - yes -> Rigid board / nest first
- Outer-row 3-6% off? - no -> Lock CAD; MOQ 20
- Rim height / Shore / border -> Weigh every pocket after real scrape

FAQ
Why are my outer-row gummies light after scrape? The plane dished. Center pockets sat deeper. Add a board or shorten the span before you add cavities.
Can the same tray run on a depositor later? Only if cavity centers match that machine's drawing. Don't assume a scrape grid is a depositor grid.
Is this FDA-approved? No factory stamp. 21 CFR 177.2600 is extraction of the finished article.
Do I need a prototype? For a new scrape rim, yes. 3-7 business days after CAD lock, with your formula and scraper.
Will a harder Shore replace the board? Don't. A thick 25A wall still creeps. The board carries the scrape load.
