If you need a custom silicone mold you can pour into, you're buying an RTV cavity, not an LSR part tool. RUUIPON pours platinum- or tin-cure rubber against a master in a mold box in Bao'an, Shenzhen (shop open since 2018): keys if the part needs a split, a rigid jacket if Shore 10A–20A would balloon, then a witness cast before we cut production quantity. Minimum order is 20 pieces per design. A working prototype is commonly ready in 3–7 business days after CAD lock.

Food-contact jobs get 21 CFR 177.2600 extraction and/or LFGB / BfR XV on the finished RTV article, not a factory stamp and not a sister LSR report. Send the STEP (or sample photos), what you'll pour, and the quantity. We'll name split, jacket, and whether a recast belongs in the price.

What you're actually buying

The object on this site is a poured tool: master, mold box, A/B mix, vacuum degas, cavity, registration keys, and usually a support jacket. You dump chocolate, pectin, resin, wax, or soap into that cavity. If the PDF in your inbox is full of cold-runners, valve gates, and heated manifolds, that's a molded silicone *part* quote. Sister site wydsilicone.com is the high-volume steel gummy *part* tool path. Don't mix the two POs.

We work from a STEP/STL, a drawing, a physical sample, or measured photos. Most inquiries are not “make this shape.” They're:

  • Will a sticky pectin gummy leave without stretching the tray?
  • How deep can a logo go before thin letters tear on demold?
  • Does this deep candle or resin part need a one-piece glove, a keyed split, or a skin plus mother mold?
  • How many cavities fit before the sheet sags when every pocket is full?
  • Which Shore A range flexes enough without losing size?
  • Does this food job need 177.2600, LFGB, both, or neither?

Those are cheaper to settle before anyone weighs A/B.

Common mix-up: RTV vs HTV vs LSR on one line

Liquid pour around a master is not compression-molded silicone, and it is not LSR injection. Read RTV vs HTV before you freeze tooling if you're still mixing the three. A Shore number without chemistry is noise.

What to ask when you're buying this mold

  • Is the quote for a poured RTV cavity I'll cast into, or for a molded silicone *part*?
  • Who makes and who keeps the master, and may the shop keep a copy for recasts?
  • One-piece, keyed split, inner core — and is there a rigid jacket?
  • Platinum or tin, and which food-contact path if the face touches food (177.2600 extraction and/or LFGB / BfR XV)?
  • Cavity grams or fill weight, first lot, monthly dumps, and is a recast of the skin in the price?

If the quote only says “custom silicone mold” and a number, you're not comparing the same job. Paying a tooling charge does not, by itself, give you unrestricted ownership of master, jacket, or CAD.

Worked example: 12-cavity 18 mm bear, about 2,000 dumps a month

A confectionery line wants a 12-cavity bear, about 18 mm tall, food-contact, target around 4.0 g, pectin, 2,000 dumps a month. The RTV job is a CNC or fully post-cured SLA master, platinum A/B in a registered box, Shore 10A–20A skin, rigid jacket so the loaded tray doesn't sag 0.5–1.5 mm at the edge, then a water-volume map before production at MOQ 20. A recast of the face after a logo change is usually cheaper than a new master, provided the jacket still keys.

A parallel PDF with heaters and a cold-runner is a molded *part*. It won't dump pectin.

From drawing to working mold

  1. Send the part: STEP/STL is ideal; a sketch, sample, or measured photos can start the review.
  2. DFM: draft, undercuts, wall, cavity layout, logo depth, pour material.
  3. Approve the cavity. Custom/simple 3D modeling is $50 when that scope applies; scope is confirmed before chargeable modeling.
  4. Prototype: commonly 3–7 business days after CAD lock.
  5. Production: MOQ 20 pieces per design after sample approval.

ISO 3302-1 on a drawing is a rubber tolerance class, not the word “precision.” Write the class you need. We don't market RUUIPON as an “FDA-approved factory.” ISO 9001 is the quality-system certificate we hold. Compound reports, when issued, match the lot you order.

When this homepage is the wrong quote

If you need thousands of vulcanized silicone *parts* (gaskets, baby-care, keypad webs) or high-volume steel gummy *depositing* tools, this RTV stack is the wrong asset. Quote HCR compression or LSR injection with a cold-runner on a parts OEM, or use wydsilicone.com for steel gummy part tools. A catalog ice cube that already matches the pocket is also the wrong spend. Geometry can override quantity: a one-off deep-undercut resin figurine is still a custom RTV job at 20 pieces; 10,000 identical spatulas are not.

We would not recommend a generic “free quote” brief

We would not recommend sending a photo titled “silicone mold” with no pour material and no quantity. We would not raise Shore A first to stiffen a floppy multi-cavity sheet — add the jacket or cut cavity count. We would not treat an LSR FDA spatula PDF as 21 CFR 177.2600 on this RTV cavity. We would not cut LSR steel “so we can scale later” while you still need a cavity to dump pectin into.

FAQ

Do you sell LSR or HCR part tools on this site? No. This site is custom RTV molds: master, box, cavity, keys, jacket. High-volume steel gummy *part* tools sit on wydsilicone.com. HCR compression and LSR injection with a cold-runner are a different RFQ for molded articles.

What's the MOQ and prototype time? Standard MOQ is 20 pieces per design after sample approval. Prototypes commonly ship in 3–7 business days after CAD lock. Production is usually 2–4 weeks depending on cavities and quantity.

Is RUUIPON an FDA-approved factory? No. 21 CFR 177.2600 is extraction of the finished rubber article intended for repeated use. LFGB / BfR XV is the German/EU path on that same RTV article. ISO 9001 is the quality-system certificate. We don't print “FDA approved” on the shop door.

What files do you need? STEP or STL is ideal. PDF drawings, AI/SVG logos, photos of a physical sample, or a sketch can start DFM. Always name the pour material and the quantity. Ownership of the master is whatever the PO writes — a tooling charge is not unrestricted transfer.

Do you ship from Shenzhen? Yes. Export packing is quoted EXW, FOB, or DDP depending on destination and shipment size. Bring Incoterms on the RFQ if they matter to your landing cost.
