A custom mold should solve a production problem, not create a new one. RUUIPON develops silicone molds around the material you pour, the finished part you need, the way you demold it, and the quantity you plan to make.
We work with food and confectionery brands, resin and craft businesses, candle and soap makers, product developers, and OEM buyers. Projects can start from a STEP/STL file, a drawing, a physical sample, or a set of measured photos.
What buyers usually need help with
Most inquiries are not simply “make this shape.” The real questions are more practical:
- Will the cavity release a sticky pectin gummy without stretching the tray out of shape?
- How deep can a logo be before thin letters tear on demold?
- Should a deep candle or resin part use a one-piece mold, a split mold, or a silicone mold with a rigid support shell?
- How many cavities can fit on one tray before the sheet becomes too soft to handle?
- Which Shore A range gives enough flexibility without losing dimensional stability?

Custom gummy, chocolate, candy, baking and ice molds can be made in food-contact platinum-cured silicone when the application requires it. Cavity volume, tray size, logo detail and demolding are designed around the actual product rather than a generic catalog tray.

Resin and craft molds
Resin projects often fail at undercuts, thin islands and long demolding paths. We review where the silicone must flex, where it needs support, and whether a multi-part mold will produce a cleaner casting.
Candle, soap and wax molds
Wax shrinkage, soap chemistry, deep texture and brand embossing all change the mold design. We select the mold structure around the casting process rather than copying one hardness across every application.
From drawing to working mold
- Send the part information. A 3D file is ideal, but a sketch, sample or measured photos can also start the review.
- DFM review. We check draft, undercuts, wall thickness, cavity layout, logo detail and the material you will cast.
- Approve the cavity design. Simple 3D modeling work can often start from a low design fee; the exact scope is confirmed before chargeable work begins.
- Prototype and test. A prototype is commonly ready in 3-7 business days after CAD is locked, depending on complexity.
- Production. Custom mold orders can start from MOQ 20 pieces per design after sample approval.
Why buyers use a factory-direct development route
A low unit price does not help if the cavity weight is wrong, the tray twists during filling, or the logo tears after a few demolds. Our job is to make the tool practical to use, not simply reproduce a picture.
A useful RFQ includes the material you will pour, target dimensions or weight, expected quantity, destination country, and any documentation requirements. With that information we can recommend a mold structure and quote that reflects the actual job.
Food-contact projects
For food applications, we can evaluate platinum-cured food-grade silicone and provide available material or test documentation for the selected compound. Requirements should be named at the RFQ stage because US and EU programs may require different document packages.
We do not describe RUUIPON as an “food-contact documentation on request.” Documentation follows the material and the target market.
