RUUIPON supports projects from early DFM and design review through prototype, tooling and production. Depending on the product, the route can involve RTV silicone mold manufacturing, HCR/HTV compression molding, LSR injection molding or silicone overmolding.
You do not need to choose the process before you contact us.

1. Project & DFM Review
We first identify:
- what the supplier must deliver;
- how the item will be used;
- geometry/release risk;
- material requirements;
- production quantity;
- critical dimensions/appearance;
- required documents;
- prototype purpose.
This avoids quoting the wrong object or process.
2. CAD / Mold Design Support
Projects can begin from:
- STEP/STP;
- STL/mesh;
- 2D drawing;
- physical sample;
- sketch;
- photos/reference images.
Where geometry must be created or corrected, define the design scope and approval file before tooling begins.

3. RTV Silicone Mold Development
For projects where the delivered silicone item is a flexible mold used to cast another material, RUUIPON can review:
- one-piece molds;
- slit/split molds;
- plugs/cores;
- support shells;
- multi-cavity trays;
- master/prototype route;
- production reproduction.
Applications can include food, resin, plaster, wax, soap and other compatible casting materials.
The exact structure follows the geometry and casting process.
4. HCR/HTV Compression Molding
For suitable finished silicone products, RUUIPON can review:
- compression-molded parts;
- product/tool DFM;
- metal tooling;
- material/hardness;
- color;
- repeat production.
Tooling, unit price and lead time for compression-molded parts remain project-specific.
5. LSR Injection Molding
For suitable LSR products, project review can include:
- product geometry;
- LSR material requirement;
- tooling route;
- gates/parting/ejection considerations;
- production quantity;
- inspection requirements.
Do not describe LSR as outside RUUIPON simply because the site also sells RTV casting molds.
6. Silicone Overmolding / Insert Molding
Where silicone must be integrated with another component, the DFM should address:
- insert/substrate;
- mechanical retention;
- interface geometry;
- molding process;
- material compatibility/bonding requirement;
- dimensional relationship;
- functional test.
Send the real insert or its locked CAD where fit is critical.
7. Prototype Validation
The prototype should answer a defined question.
Examples:
- Does the mold release the real casting?
- Does the gummy/chocolate hit target weight?
- Does a silicone component fit the mating part?
- Does a logo remain readable?
- Does a tray stay practical while filled?
- Does an insert remain retained?
A prototype that only “looks correct” may not prove production suitability.
8. Production Approval
Before repeat production, define the production reference:
- approved CAD/drawing revision;
- approved physical sample where relevant;
- material;
- color;
- critical dimensions;
- logo/artwork;
- functional requirement;
- documentation;
- packaging.
Changes after approval should be controlled as revisions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does RUUIPON only make RTV molds?
No. RUUIPON supports RTV silicone molds, HCR/HTV compression molding and tooling, LSR injection molding, silicone overmolding and finished silicone-product projects where the project fits the process.
Can we start from photos or a physical sample?
Yes. Fit-sensitive or dimension-critical work may still require the real sample or locked CAD before tooling.
Is the same MOQ used for RTV, HCR/HTV and LSR?
No. RUUIPON's Tooling, unit price and lead time remain project-specific.
Can we sign an NDA before sending sensitive files?
State the confidentiality requirement before full disclosure so the NDA path can be addressed first.
Do you guarantee a 24-hour quote?
No universal response-time promise should be used. A complete RFQ can be reviewed more efficiently than an incomplete one.
