A soap loaf is a slab you cut after set, not a cavity tray that sells the bar as poured. Don't size the mold from the dry 100 g label - the cavity fills with fresh batter before water loss. Twelve cavities at 180 g each already put more than 2 kg of batter into the silicone before the mold's own weight. Sidewalls bow without a wood or metal box. Fresh-pour grams, then the support box
Send process type (CP / HP / M&P), fresh-pour target grams or loaf volume, finished loaf L x W x H, whether a wood/metal box already exists (inner dimensions), logo artwork, and expected cuts per loaf. A loaf that sits in a box you already own has to match that ID. Don't send "soap" and expect one Shore to cover lye batter and a glycerin melt.
Loaded-tray edge sag without a jacket is about 0.5-1.5 mm - a banana loaf. Design the frame with the cavity, not after the first gel phase.
Logo depth on a loaf face
Emboss/deboss direction, depth, draft, and stroke width get reviewed before the master is approved. Too deep holds the loaf on unmold day. Too fine disappears after gel. Hairlines belong in a stamp. When this loaf advice does not apply
A cavity tray that sells the bar as poured is the soap hub, not this loaf slug. Food-contact extraction doesn't belong on a CP tray. Candle wax is a different heat/fragrance attack - pillar candle molds. A single test-kitchen loaf can skip production MOQ thinking until CAD is locked. We would not recommend sizing a loaf from the dry wrapper weight
We would not recommend a food-grade claim on a CP soap tray. We would not skip a support box on a multi-kilogram loaf. We would not raise Shore A first if gel-phase stick is the real issue. We would not treat a candle skin as a lye tool without a formula test.

Can I call this mold food-grade because it's platinum? Don't. Soap trays see alkali and fragrance. 21 CFR 177.2600 is a food-article extraction. Keep food SKUs on food pages.
What's the difference between a loaf and a cavity tray? A loaf is cut after set; grams per bar come from the knife. A cavity tray sells the bar as poured. Don't mix the RFQs.
Why did my logo tear off the loaf? Depth, draft, or demold time. Fine letters in sticky CP lock. We mark stroke and relief on the master before pour.
Do I need a prototype? For a new logo loaf, yes. 3-7 business days after CAD lock, with your formula if you can ship or describe it.
