Silicone molds for cement and gypsum: two mixes, one jacket decision
Cementitious mix and gypsum are not the same dump in one RFQ. Cement and sand scour thin letters; gypsum chips a hanger island if the peel is stiff. Buyers still send one photo and ask for "a cement/gypsum mold." We need the wet kilograms, max aggregate (or "no stone"), and whether the piece is an open-back plaque or a full-3D form. The RTV path is the same - photos, sketch, or CAD, then a 3D-printed pattern, often a temporary silicone flip, a resin production mother, then batch RTV - but Shore, detail coat, and recast change with abrasion vs brittle demold. RUUIPON pours these in Bao'an since 2018. Prototype in 3-7 business days after CAD lock. MOQ 20 pcs/design. Don't skip the jacket on a kilogram pour. Split pages: concrete, plaster, hubs concrete-cement and plaster-gypsum.

Name the mix before Shore A
If both chemistries will use the same skin, design for the harsher one: jacket for cement mass, peel-soft Shore for gypsum leaves, recast budget for sand. A 10A-20A skin copies texture; the mother mold carries load. Unsupported sag about 0.5-1.5 mm. Air in stone pits wants a detail coat and vibration - that's cement. Hanger chips want more draft - that's gypsum.
Don't hang 177.2600 on either.
When this combined-slug advice does not apply
If you already know it's only concrete or only plaster, use those slugs. Architectural cladding scale: architectural casting. LSR *parts* → ask us. A tiny sample tile can skip the jacket. Geometry can override quantity.
If you only have photos, custom 3D modeling is USD $50 when that scope applies.
Cement/gypsum RFQ to copy
- Mix: cement / gypsum / both (which is primary)
- Wet mass kg; max aggregate or "none"
- Open-back vs full-3D
- Texture and logo depth
- Jacket; recast of skin
- Custom 3D modeling: USD $50 when that scope applies
- Prototype full-weight, then MOQ 20 pcs/design
Send mix, wet kilograms, and undercut photos to contact ([email protected] / +86 135 3006 2969). Licheng Technology Industry Park, Xinhe Blvd, Shajing, Baoan.
Matched CTA: Send which mix is primary, wet kg, and aggregate size - not "cement/gypsum, best price."
We would not recommend one Shore copied onto cement and gypsum without a pour test
We would not recommend skipping the jacket because gypsum is "lighter." We would not raise Shore A first to hold a paver. We would not recast from a bellied sample. We would not quote LSR because volume "might grow."
RUUIPON Mold Structure Decision: name the harsher dump. Open-back if it peels. Locked undercut? split. Kilograms? mother mold.
- Which mix is primary? - cement + aggregate -> Jacket + recast budget
- Which mix is primary? - gypsum / brittle -> Soft peel + hanger draft
- Which mix is primary? - both in one skin -> Design for abrasion AND peel
- Jacket + recast budget -> Wet kg?
- Soft peel + hanger draft -> Wet kg?
- Design for abrasion AND peel -> Wet kg?
- Wet kg? - yes -> Mother mold
- Wet kg? - tiny tile -> Prototype
- Mother mold -> Prototype

FAQ
Can one mold pour both cement and gypsum? Sometimes if you design for the harsher load and the more brittle peel. Prototype both dumps.
Is gypsum light enough to skip the jacket? Not on a kilogram plaque. Tiny tiles maybe.
Will sand kill letters? Yes over cycles. Name max stone and budget recast.
Do I need a split for a plaque? Only if wrap or undercut says so.
How fast is a prototype? 3-7 business days after CAD lock. Full-weight pour.
