Get a Custom Silicone Mold or Product Quote

A useful quote starts with the object you need to receive, the application, the design information available and the expected quantity.

In the project description, tell us whether you need a casting mold or a finished silicone product. If you are unsure, describe the intended use and ask us to recommend the manufacturing route.

Six Inputs That Make the Quote More Useful

1. Design Input

Send STEP/STP, STL/OBJ, PDF drawing, vector artwork, photos or physical-sample information.

2. What You Need to Receive

This form does not have a separate process menu. In the project description, name the object you need. Use the Application field for the end use.

You can describe one of these:

• a custom RTV silicone casting mold;
• a finished HCR/HTV silicone product;
• HCR/HTV compression mold or tooling;
• an LSR injection-molded part;
• silicone overmolding or insert molding;
• design or prototype support;
• or ask us to recommend the manufacturing route.

3. Application / End Use

Explain what the mold will be filled with or what the finished silicone part must do.

4. Dimensions & Critical Requirements

Include overall dimensions, fit surfaces, target piece weight/volume where relevant, logo/detail, hardness if specified, sealing/function, cosmetic surfaces and real CTQs.

5. Quantity

State prototype quantity, first production quantity and expected repeat/annual volume if known.

6. Destination & Documentation

Include ship-to country/postcode, food-contact market if relevant, customer document requirements, Incoterm if known and needed-by date.

DFM Before Tooling

Review may cover:

• undercuts/release;
• parting line;
• split/core/support shell;
• wall/support;
• multi-cavity layout;
• logo/detail;
• material/process;
• fit;
• insert retention;
• production quantity;
• prototype acceptance.

Prototype Approval

Possible checks:

• fit;
• dimensions;
• release;
• target grams;
• surface;
• logo;
• tray handling;
• assembly;
• insert retention;
• function.

Tooling, CAD and Ownership Questions

If important, define in writing:

• CAD deliverables;
• editable/native files;
• production master custody;
• tooling custody;
• ownership;
• exclusivity;
• transfer/release rights;
• reorder/archive rights.

Tooling payment does not automatically answer every ownership question.

MOQ, design fees and lead time depend on the selected manufacturing process and project scope. Any applicable RTV mold minimums or modeling fees will be stated separately in the quotation.

What Happens After Submission

We review:

• manufacturing route;
• missing inputs;
• DFM/design scope;
• prototype/tooling requirement;
• quantity and production-volume assumptions;
• documentation;
• shipping.

Complete RFQs are easier to quote accurately.

FAQ

Can I request a quote without CAD?

You can request an initial review with a sketch, photos or sample information. Include approximate dimensions, the application and the quantity required. We will identify any design work or missing information before confirming a quotation.

Is initial DFM free?

Initial manufacturability review can be included before formal design/tooling work. New CAD or substantial design work may be chargeable and should be quoted separately.

How quickly will I receive a quote?

Quotation timing depends on the completeness of your files and the technical review required. We will identify any missing information before confirming the quotation schedule.
