Vacuum-Degassed Platinum Production Trays (Not a Tin Hobby Block)

Tin kits hide tear until order 40. Production sheets that see epoxy heat or sticky pectin need platinum and a degas step so bubbles are not your logo.

Bubbles print as SKU defects on clear resin and chocolate logos

Vacuum degassing for platinum silicone mold trays
Degas is a process step, not a marketing adjective.

Opaque soap hid a pit. Clear resin and shallow chocolate logos will not. Vacuum degassing is how we keep those pits off the cavity face. Platinum-cure is the default production sheet because tin kits tear and age sticky under shop heat.

Cycle-life marketing numbers are not a quote line. We lock Shore band, wall mm, and whether the sheet must stack. Shrink is compensated in CAD (~0.1%) when you send a solid.

Platinum vs tin guide · Production sheet vs tin kit

What actually shows up after you restock (not a cycle-life slogan)

Tin hobby blocks look fine on pour 1. Tear shows around order 40 when the sheet is hot from epoxy or sticky from pectin. We will not print a fake cycle count. We will ask wall mm, whether you stack in a freezer, and whether the face is clear.

A pit on a chocolate logo is a SKU photo problem. A pit on clear resin is a listing return. Vacuum is the step that keeps that pit off the cavity face. It is not a food-contact certificate.

UseWhy platinum + degas matters
Clear resin jewelryShow-through prints dust and pits
Shallow chocolate logoA bubble becomes the brand mark
Sticky pectin / gummyTin ages sticky; sheet still needs Shore after chemistry
Opaque soapCan hide a pit until you switch to a clear SKU

Hobby block vs production sheet

If you already tore a tin kit on a Shopify restock, say so. That is a better RFQ than a Shore number with no pour.

When this is the wrong quote

Finished packed goods at MOQ 300-1000. Steel dies for a mogul. Medical keypad OEM. We make cavity tools you pour with.

What to send

Pour + peak C. OD. Whether the part is clear. Cavity count. Weekly pieces. Food-contact or craft on line one. If you already tore a tin kit, send that photo. It is more useful than a Shore number with no pour.

FAQ

Do you sell tin if I insist?

We quote platinum for production sheets. Hobby tin is not our SKU.

Is vacuum the same as food-grade?

No. Degas is process. Food-contact is material + docs + market.

Prototype time?

Typically 3-7 business days after CAD lock.

Does vacuum make it food-grade?

No. Write FOOD-CONTACT on line one if the SKU is eaten. Separate quoting path.

Can I mix UV 3 mm wells and 70 mm epoxy on one sheet?

Usually two quotes. Peak C is not an average.
