Low-Risk Custom Mold Launch
Low MOQ Custom Silicone Molds — Starting From 20 Per Design
For applicable custom RTV silicone mold projects, RUUIPON’s production MOQ starts from 20 molds per approved design after prototype/design approval.
This route is useful for brands validating a new shape, logo, cavity weight or production workflow without committing to a much larger first mold quantity.
The 20-piece MOQ does not apply automatically to finished HCR/HTV products, LSR components or metal-tool programs. Those are quoted according to their process.
Do Not Multiply an Unapproved Cavity

The safer sequence is:
- confirm design
- create/approve CAD if needed
- make prototype
- validate the real application
- approve revision
- place production quantity
This is especially important for:
- gummy target weight
- chocolate logo/finish
- resin demolding
- figurine split lines
- candle support
- fit-sensitive molds
A small first production order still requires:
- design/DFM
- master/tool development
- prototype
- finishing
- QC
- packing
Low MOQ reduces inventory commitment; it does not eliminate development work.
If production-ready CAD does not exist, simple 3D modeling is typically around USD 50 when the scope is straightforward.
Complex sculpting, reverse engineering and multi-part development are quoted separately.
A straightforward 3D design + prototype is typically about 3–5 days after required information is approved.
Small RTV production may be about 2–3 days after prototype approval when the project/quantity allows.
Complex molds or other manufacturing processes require project-specific schedules.
Good fit:
- new branded mold launch
- seasonal/limited SKU
- prototype-to-first-production transition
- small craft/food brand
- buyer testing a production workflow
- replacement/reorder of an approved mold design
Can I order only one prototype before the 20-piece production MOQ?
Yes. Prototype-first is the recommended route.
If I have 5 different designs, is that 20 total?
MOQ should be confirmed per design/project. Do not assume different designs can always be combined into one MOQ.
Can I start from a sample or photo?
Yes. Modeling/reverse-engineering scope is confirmed before work begins.
Is MOQ 20 for LSR or HCR products?
No.
Does low MOQ mean lower-quality material?
No. Material/process should still meet the project requirement.
